House of Islam for Developers (the API, its downloadable datasets, and this site) is provided free of charge, for personal and commercial use alike.

No warranty. Everything here is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Content is compiled from a range of sources and may contain errors — verify anything safety-, legal-, or worship-critical against a trusted scholar or primary source before relying on it.

Fair use. API keys are subject to the daily/monthly quotas shown on your dashboard. We may suspend or revoke a key that’s abused or used in a way that degrades service for others.

Availability. We aim to keep the API and downloads available, but don’t guarantee uptime. Routes, schemas, and datasets may change; breaking changes will be reflected in the docs.

Attribution. Not required, but always appreciated if you build something with this data.
